It seems that inbound tourism has been successfully boosted so far. Every fourth in 5 Bulgarians is positive about their summer vacation in Bulgaria. The number of reservations has been increased by 15% since the beginning of the year. All bookings are made by Bulgarian residents and the figure is precisely calculated in regards to the project ‘’Communication campaign for the promotion of inbound tourism in Bulgaria’’.
Two times more Bulgarian holidaymakers show their interest in summer vacations, SPA retreats, rural tourism getaways and beach holidays. Surprisingly, the number of holidaymakers who choose cultural tourism, has been increased significantly as well. According to the official figures, we expect a growth of 10% for Summer season 2011.
According to the local governor of Bourgas, we expect a growth of 5-7% of the foreign tourists at Bulgaria’s Black Sea. This growth can even reach 10% due to the new flights which are served at Bourgas Airport. The biggest group of tourists is expected to arrive from Russia. Also, we expect many holidaymakers from Germany, UK, Israel, Czech Republic, followed by Norway.
