Bulgaria has a great potential to develop SPA and wellness tourism

Undoubtedly Bulgaria has great opportunities to develop SPA and wellness industry, said the Aneliya Krushkova, the chairman of the Bulgaria State Tourism Agency. In her opinion, 8 000 mineral springs which are scattered in Bulgaria are an extra boost to the development of this kind of tourism and thus enhance the overall potential of the country. Currently and in the long term aspect Bulgaria’s tourism industry has focused on the development of SPA tourism. It is essential to organize various forums and seminars in order to discuss every step of the strategy and establish the best standards. Aneliya Krushkova pointed out that it is too early to make any predictions for foreign tourists flow for the winter season. After the tourism exhibition in London scheduled to take place in the middle of November, the situation may become clear as Bulgaria will participate with its own counter.
