Bulgaria's Tourism Law Changes

The Sofia Echo, 20.10.2006

Bulgaria's State Agency for Tourism (SAT) would suggest to the Council of Ministers changes in Bulgaria's tourism laws by the end of November 2006, SAT head Mario al-Djebouri said as quoted by Darik Radio. Mayors would have more rights to determine the rating of one and two-star hotels. New tourism attractions would be introduced as well. A new hotel class, business hotel, would be created and Bulgaria's luxurious hotels would keep their star ratings New tourism services and higher requirements would also be introduced. Bulgaria's international tourism income for the first eight months of 2006 reached 1.557 billion euro, al-Djebouri also said. See source
