Cleanup at The Golden Sands Resort
Sofia News Agency, 03.05.2005
Bulgaria's posh seaside destination Golden Sands will have to be cleaned up until May 20, the local governor has said. Construction works at the resort have already been suspended in order to secure comfort for the tourists. But waste material at many of the sites still needs to be transported away. The Golden Sands will also keep heavy trucks out during summer season. Over the last several years, the hectic building of hotels and other public venues at the seaside turned out to be a major problem for the Bulgarian tourism. International visitors seemed especially disturbed by the noise and the mess made by the workers. That has inspired local authorities to impose restrictions in order for guests to regain comfort. see source
