For the first time in its history, soft drinks giant Coca-Cola will shoot its Christmas commercial in Bulgaria. It will then be televised in more than 90 countries worldwide, Bulgarian media reported on November 18 2010. According to the report, the company used only Bulgarian actors. Shooting took place in Nu Boyana studios, Sofia Central Park and at the home of bTV anchor Natalia Simeonova.
This year's Santa Claus, which millions of children worldwide will see on their television screens, will be portrayed by actor Ivan Petroushinov. He will also be featured in the song written for this year's Christmas, the report said. Music is performed by American Grammy Award-winning rock band Train, and it will also feature Petroushinov and Bulgarian Music Idol star Nona Karaivanova.
