Foreign tourists have compensation for the lack of snow at Bulgaria’s skiing res

Due to the lack of snow at Bulgaria’s winter resorts, foreign tourists will receive compensation up to 20.00 GBP per each day when ski tracks are closed, announced the Telegraph newspaper. The insurance in cases of lack of snow /’’no-snow guarantee’’/ this season is applicable to the majority of ski packages on sale at the International market. It depends on the respective tour operator and contract what is the amount that will be refunded because of the lack of snow, so essential for a fabulous skiing holiday. Unfortunately, weather forecast does not predict snow showers in the next couple of days and hence skiers who did their bookings at Bulgaria’s ski resorts for the New Year may be disappointed. Furthermore, the unusual temperatures for the winter season do not allow the operation of snow cannons. In addition to that the rain, which Bulgaria has seen in the last couple of days, caused the melting of the snow cover at Bulgaria’s ski resorts. Despite what forecast was to the contary, weather conditions at all Bulgaria’s winter resorts were rather unfavourable on the 27th of December and for this reason there were conditions neither for skiing or trekking.
