Hotels under Construction in Sunny Beach Black-outed

The electricity of thirty hotels under construction in Sunny Beach seaside resort was intercepted by the order of Slanchev Briag AD, the company running the infrastructure of the Black Sea resort. The reason is in that the owners of the sites failed to observe the order issued by Mayor of Nessebur, Nikolay Trifonov the ongoing construction works to be suspended on May 15th. The decision to cut off the power supply of 30 hotels under construction was taken by Malina Bakalova, Executive of the company. A week earlier she sent letters of notice to the owners of the sites, warning them that she would resort to drastic measures in case they fail to suspend the ongoing construction works. But to no avail. After the electricity was intercepted, the works on the 30 sites have stopped and the sites will be frozen till the end of Summer Season '2005. At present Sunny Beach resort accommodates 10,000 holiday-makers, most of them from Great Britain, Germany and Scandinavia. In a fortnight's time the number of holiday-makers is expected to double. see source
