”Independent” published a travel article for Gela

27.09.2012

The British newspaper Independent featured a new article for Bulgaria. The article which carries the title ‘’Bulgaria: between the hell and the paradise’’ tells more about the Devil’s throat cave, the village Gela in the Rhodopes mountain, as well as all legends for Orpheus. The charming village Gela is hidden in Rhodopes mountain. It’s an ideal place for luxurious isolation. The article also warns that the Devil’s throat is a vast and dangerous cave which is located nearby. The author of the article describes in detail the legend for Orpheus, the cave and the village, local dishes, as well as tourism opportunities.

The author also points out that after all former Soviet Union countries open their marked from European tourists, Bulgaria is ever since associated with cheap travel packages in Black Sea resorts, as well as excursions to Bourgas and Varna. Unfortunately, many regions, boasting exceptional beauty and charm like Rhodopes were not developed to attract tourists.
