Influx of Romanian tourists is expected in Bulgaria’s sea capital for Easter. The continued trend shows that thousands of Romanian residents booked their Easter vacation in the lovely Golden Sands resort.
The affordable prices, the numerous charter flights, and the introduction of interesting destinations are only some of the reasons why Romanians will visit Bulgaria.
Bulgaria remains the most attractive destination for Romanians as far as the price-ratio factor is concerned. Bulgaria offers surprises such as offers that are by 20% lower and a wide variety of bonuses such as free stay for children and discounts for SPA services.
Bookings have increased in the last minute and even many hotels will be fully booked for the Easter celebration. According to Mr.Fidanov, representative of the Union of Golden Sands hotels, the popular seaside resort will see more Romanians over Easter as compared to the New Year. Most tourists are from Bucharest and towns near the border Bulgaria-Romania. The major reason for the Romanian influx of tourists at Bulgarian seaside is the important fact that Bulgaria’s north neighbour is lagging behind in regards to the facilities and development at Black Sea resorts. Yet, another reason is relatively low prices and the standard of life. Nearly 70% of hotels in Golden Sands will open for Easter, reported the chairman of Varna Tourism Chamber. Unfortunately, many hotels may close after Easter as they will not be prepared properly for the beginning of the summer season. The beginning of the latter is expected to be on May 2d due to large number of charter flights.
