International organizations to provide funding for the ancient Cybele temple in

International organizations want to provide funding for the preservation of Cybele temple in Bulgaria’s coastal town of Balchik. The finding in Balchik is one of the unique monuments of world importance. Cybele’s temple is well preserved and its numerous inscriptions provide comprehensive information about the life in the late Antiquity. Therefore, Bulgaria’s organizations struggle to redeem the area which is a private property. The temple was discovered in a private plot during the construction of a hotel in Balchik. The temple is already famous all over the world, explained the Minister of Culture. Unfortunately, problems with regards to its maintenance arise since Balchik municipality has been unable to obtain the plot. The rock church “St.st Constantine and Elena” in the archaeological and nature reserve Yailata will be also fortified.
