It lies about 11km away from the lovely small mountainous town of Smolyan and approximately 250km from Sofia, Bulgaria’s capital city. Pamporovo’s snow cover remains over 150 days per year and the average annual temperature is 8 degrees.

If you feel like skiing and having fun during the winter season, then Pamporovo will take care of ensuring your unforgettable moments at the ski tracks. Beware that there are ski runs of different level of difficulty at Pamporovo skiing resort, so you should enjoy skiing at the run which you deem the most appropriate for your level of expertise. Novices will find several green ski tracks, equipped with small ski trails. Advanced skiers will not be bored as well, because several rather steep /they are marked in black/ tracks have been awaiting to be explored. Are there some fans of ski running and biathlon? You are at the right place, we are afraid that you may not leave Pamporovo skiing resort in the end of your winter adventure. There are a number of ski tracks around Snezhanka and a sport shooting ground at the area of Yzovira /literally translated into English is the Dam/. There are a couple of ski schools at Pamporovo and all of them boast highly professional ski instructors who will friendly help you learn skiing and improve your skills, don’t get panicked, it is only a matter of time. One should have in mind that dramatic weather changes and avalanches are not typical of Pamporovo winter resort, so the tranquillity and safety during your winter holiday are guaranteed. Currently Pamporovo skiing resort boasts 19km ski tracks network, 70-80% snow cover, a newly constructed 6-seat ski lift and a new ski piste illuminated for night skiing. Guests who are keen on night skiing and exciting adventures will be delighted to take on this adrenaline rising ski adventure. There is wide variety of entertainment places, facilities and attractions at Pamporovo, some of them are the ice skate, the extreme park, the ample choice of extreme sports with sledges and many more.
