Mobile Tour Guide Presented in Bulgaria
Sofia Echo Com, 02.03.2006
Culture Minister Stefan Danailov will present in the National Opera a new mobile device, called Bulgaria in a Palm. The device is a mobile tourism guide, created through the co-operation of Bulgaria in a Palm association and GloBul mobile phone operator. The device would be used for popularising Bulgaria’s cultural and historic heritage, Focus news agency reported. Through dialing a certain number tourists will receive information concerning some of the most famous Bulgarian monuments, cultural and nature attractions. This initiative would be launched on March 3 with the positioning of code signs in different cities. Veliko Turnovo, Kavarna and Arbanasi are the first attractions to be listed because of their historic symbolism. By Easter 20 cultural attractions will be listed in the mobile tourism guide. The number of places will reach 50 by June.
