More British holidaymakers at Bulgaria’s ski tracks

There is a growth of 7% of the number of tourists who visited Bulgaria in January. 7% more tourists visited Bulgaria’s ski resorts as compared to the same month last year. This was reported by the chairman of Bulgarian Institute for tourism analysis and assessments. Both Xmas and New Year’s holidays were successful for the travel industry. The snow conditions are now good despite the warm weather. Biggest ski resorts in Bulgaria are also equipped with artificial snow making facilities.
There is a growth of the number of British tourists. Ski resorts also welcome many Russians since most of them own an apartment in Bulgaria. There are more tourists from the EU part of Turkey. The trend to accept more Turkish tourists started a couple of years ago. Greek tourist visits are dropped by nearly 12% and this is a tendency which was registered last year and it’s obvious that the financial crisis has its negative impact on Greek residents. It’s expected that the winter season 2013 in Bulgaria will register a growth of 7-7.5% as compared to 2012.
