More foreign tourists visit Bulgaria in 2010

The number of overnights and funds spent on accommodation by foreign tourists increased by 3.6 % in the second quarter of 2010 compared with the same period a year earlier, showed preliminary data of National Statistical Institute. Serbian tourists is the largest group with 66.2%, followed by China-50.6%, Ukraine-47.7%, Korea-47.4%, Australia-44.9%, Romania-40.5%, Japan-37.6% and Hungary-24.6%. The number of foreign holidaymakers and funds spent on accommodation is increased by 3.9% compared to the same period last year as German tourists form the largest group of holidaymakers with 22.8%. Virtually all foreign holidaymakers /99.1%/ have chosen to book a hotel for their vacation in Bulgaria.
