‘’Pirin sings 2012’’ folklore festival in August

This year is an important one for the folklore festival ‘Pirin sings’, because we celebrate 50 years since the establishment of this great music festival. The festival is organied on August 4th and August 5th in the area Predel in Razlog municipality. This will be 13th edition of the festival ‘Pirin sings’ 2012. It’s the 50t anniversary of the popular folklore festival in Bulgaria which was first held in 1962.
It is expected that 150 000 people will visit Razlog for two festive days. The festival is a famous music event that gathers Bulgarian folklore musicians from Pirin region.
Many foreign tourists also show interest in the event. Most of them wish to get acquainted with the local folklore. The festival expects guests from Japan, USA, Canada and some European countries.
