Pleven city chose “Panoramata” for its tourist emblem

The building of the famous museum-panorama “The Epopee of Pleven -1877” will be depicted on the new tourist emblem of the city. This was the final decision after the results of 6-month survey of local people’s opinions had been analyzed. The residents of Pleven took part in the research for the choice of a symbol which will represent the city as a tourist destination.
The residents had had a choice of several architectural and historical monuments, but the Panorama had half of the votes.
The initiative is in support of Pleven identity and it is aimed to create better image of the city. The mayor of Pleven pointed out the fact that the new sign doesn’t pretend to be official town emblem, but it only defines the most attractive and visited tourist destination .
