Rousse applies new tourism strategy
24.03.2013
Rousse has a new strategy for further development of tourism. The strategy will be applied within 2012-2014 and it should contribute to the reputation of the city which should become a preferred and recognized tourism destination. The first aim of the project is to increase the number of tourists in the city by the Danube river. There will be a research of the hotels, attractions, natural landmarks, the offering of the cultural product and other key tourism sectors. On the other hand, the collaboration with the information centres in Bulgaria needs to be further improved and they will also help the promotion of the travel opportunities that Rousse offers.
In order to improve the quality of their services, the owners of small family houses and guesthouses, small restaurants, should undergo a number of trainings. Historic, cultural and natural landmarks will be used more efficiently if they are perceived as an element of the respective local identity instead of being an isolated monument. The biological diversity in the region has also potential to develop sustainable eco tourism in the region. One can also enjoy observing animals and plants in their natural habitat.
