Varied Festival program will be presented at the bridge next to National Palace of Culture in Sofia city. Visitors will have the chance to enjoy the art festival for two weeks. This Sunday folklore dances and authentic Bulgarian music marked the beginning of the festival that will take place at the bridge next to National Palace of Culture in Sofia city. The event is called ‘Water Boulevard of arts and crafts’.
The organizers of the colourful initiative are the organization ‘I love water’, the association for the development of crafts and arts, as well as Sofia municipality. Guests will enjoy the rhythm of Latino music, tango, art pieces of many talented artists and writers. One can touch Bulgaria’s craft traditions and get acquainted with Bulgarian art within the framework of crafts days. Don’t miss to admire at Sofia by night and take a walk during the night of Galleries when you will be able to get inspired by beautiful paintings.
Many delicious surprises are prepared during the two nights, dedicated to culinary art. Taste traditional Bulgarian and European dishes as you appreciate the talent of master chefs and amateurs. If you like drinking Bulgarian wine or at least you wish to taste it, do not miss to attend the wine degustation. You will enjoy many games and amusing activities, water surprises, music and dancing. The children will become enthusiastic artists who implement their imagination in the drawings which will be included in children's workshops. Young artists will learn how to create together beautiful jewels and souvenirs.
The zone of Art and Crafts Avenue will be a trash-free zone, because each empty bottle, cup or plastic will become a part of the artistic composition in which all guests will have chance to participate.
Please, note that the festival will continue until 9th of October 2010. The bridge near National Palace of Culture in Sofia will become an open gallery where impressive photos from the competition ‘Sofia with love for the water’’ will be exhibited.
