Summer is the active tourism season for the museum complex in Bansko

According to Galabitsa Todeva, museum expert from the Museum complex in Bansko and tourist guide in the House-museum “Nikola Vaptsarov” the summer is the most active season for the museums in the lovely mountainous resort. The House-museum “Nikola Vaptsarov” is visited by 7-8 thousand people annually. This year is the 100th anniversary of the birth of the Bulgarian poet Nikola Vaptsarov, which will be marked with a special celebration program. The visitors of the whole Museum complex are about 25 000 per year. Galabitsa Todeva explained that the winter season is usually very busy because of the skiers. In her words, few of them find some spare time to visit the museums. “The active tourism season for the museums begins in the spring with the massive visits of groups of students”, pointed out the museum expert. May is one of the busiest months, as well as June because of the students’ excursions. On the other hand, July and August are the right time for family holidays.
