hotel overview:

Hotel LION SUNNY BEACH opened at the beginning of July 2005. The hotel offers relaxing and comfortable accommodation in wonderful surroundings.

Ideal for unwinding beside the pool, or strolling along the sandy beach and into the resort center.

What guests appreciate most

Hotel Lion Sunny Beach currently receives very good ratings for cleanliness, comfort, staff and value for money. The hotel is within convenient walking distance of the beach while remaining slightly removed from the busiest parts of Sunny Beach. Guests frequently praise the spacious and clean rooms, comfortable beds, daily housekeeping, good breakfast and dinner and the relaxed atmosphere around the pool. Facilities include an outdoor swimming pool with a children's section, main restaurant, lobby bar and pool bar. It is particularly practical for travellers looking for a good balance between beach access, comfort and price.

What guests most often complain about

Despite the high current ratings, longer-term feedback is somewhat more moderate. Some guests mention that the food can occasionally become repetitive or may not always be sufficiently hot, particularly later during buffet service. During busy periods, queues can form in the restaurant and the relatively compact pool area may run short of available sun loungers. There are also isolated complaints about inconsistent staff attitude and slow front-desk service. On-site parking is subject to an additional charge.

Who is this hotel suitable for?

Hotel Lion Sunny Beach is suitable for couples, families and travellers looking for comfortable accommodation a few minutes' walk from the sea without requiring a direct beachfront position. It particularly suits guests who value clean and spacious rooms, good food, a swimming pool and a relatively relaxed atmosphere while still wanting easy access to the main entertainment areas of Sunny Beach.

Our recommendation

We recommend Hotel Lion Sunny Beach as one of the stronger options in its class because of its very good current ratings, cleanliness, comfortable rooms and convenient distance from the beach. It is a particularly good choice for travellers seeking value without requiring a direct beachfront location. Before booking, guests should confirm the exact room category and view, selected meal plan, conditions for drinks during meals and the current parking charge.
