Messembria Resort Apart Hotel

On arrival to this so called 3/4 star Messembri palace hotel and resort with my 11yr old daughter and i where put un a dingy 2bed room over looking a street and pub. Instead of a suit with a nice view. Also the all inclusive facilities were scandalous. I phoned a profitours agent. Who agreed to reimburse my money with a one nights charge. So we spent our first day and evening finding and booking another hotel and packing. The following morning we were met in reception by one if your reps. She and the hotel were adamant I would not be getting my money back. This was apparently due to it being high season and the terms for cancellation were supposisidly full payment. What was offered as our only choice was an upgrade to an apartment. A suit with a nice view would have been sufficient, with all the standards that this hotel apparently offered. Going on I can not state enough how disgraceful and falsely advertised this hotel is. Points include the below ( I have photos and evidence to back all statements up)

- The all inclusive was a few dishes of uncomplimetary slop with salad. The drinks and condiments were in a household fridge. With the evening bar spirits on wall dispensers. This was all in a room with about 8 garden tables and chairs.

This hotel was advertised stating
"Delicious meals will be served. And is typical for hotels of the highest class and worldwide standards.

- The advertisement of this hotel implies it was a large lively resort with plenty to do.

-With regards to the apartment although visually pleasant. We had a broken TV for the whole time. Cable men came to fix it and confirmed the TV it self was at fault. The hotel didn't act on replacement.
The air conditioning was only in the lounge area and not the bedroom. Which resulted in both my daughter and i sleeping on the sofa bed in lounge.
There was no phone in the room, which resulted in me having to go down to reception regarding the simplist of things. Not good as a single parent.
Wi-Fi was not available. Which resulted in all my phone data being used.

- The hotel was also advertised as having " all kinds of extra services, amenities and entertainment
This included non existent entertainment, kids club and mini aqua park.

My daughter had a 12hr vomiting bug. Which resulted in us being confined in the hotel for one day. Apart from that we went out to eat and used other hotel facilities.

This hotel and your advertisement of this can not continue. I witnessed on several occasions other holiday stated complaining about very much the same.
Also staff agreed that this hotel is having a lot of problems, due to being new.
In summary I am a single medically retired parent. Who's health has deteriorated due to the stress and appalling holiday we ended up having.
I expect a full refund for this booking. Including the £79 extra I paid as my daughter was over 5yrs old for the ALC part of the holiday. As well as compensation on top for the damage to my healt and the distress it put on my daughter.
I hope this can be resolved amicably and without more pathetic supposed justification from the hotel for yours and there false advertisement.

I have held of my solicitor for now and putting a full report on trio advisor.

Now I hope we can sort this as soon as possible, as so much of my time and energy has been used on this already.
