hotel overview:

The hotel offers spacious and comfortable rooms at very competitive rates, ideally suited for families with children or young couples.
The modern property is within easy reach of both the beach and resort centre. Venture out and have fun at the many discos, bars and pubs in the vicinity. For your convenience, a big supermarket is also nearby.

What guests appreciate most

Among the main advantages of Hotel Tia Maria are its reasonably convenient location in the southern part of Sunny Beach, proximity to the beach and resort centre and the generous size of some rooms. The hotel offers an outdoor swimming pool, restaurant, parking and several meal-plan options including breakfast, half board and All Inclusive. Some more recent positive reviews praise spacious and clean rooms, friendly staff, food and good value for money.

What guests most often complain about

The hotel's long-term overall rating is low and current feedback indicates considerable inconsistency in quality. Frequent criticism concerns inadequate cleanliness, worn or poorly maintained rooms, problems with air conditioning, towels and basic supplies, weak breakfast organisation and uneven service. Some recent reviews also raise serious concerns about hygiene and front-desk organisation. The swimming pool and surrounding area receive mixed feedback as well. These issues appear often enough to be considered before booking.

Who is this hotel suitable for?

Hotel Tia Maria is mainly suitable for budget-conscious travellers looking for accommodation reasonably close to the beach and who prioritise price and location over a consistently high service standard. It can be practical for young couples, groups or families who expect to spend much of their holiday outside the hotel.

Our recommendation

We recommend Hotel Tia Maria only when the rate is competitive and after carefully checking the most recent reviews. The property has a convenient location and some guests are satisfied with the room size and value for money, but the large number of critical comments about cleanliness, maintenance and service calls for moderate expectations. Before booking, guests should check current photos of the exact room category, the latest feedback on hygiene and food and the precise scope of the selected meal plan.
