Sveti Vlas - Places to go
Saint Vlas will surprise you with many landmarks. The resort is proud of the remnants of the monasteries from 14th century. They were all destroyed in 18th century. Now you can visit the temple ‘’St.Atanasii the Great’’, built in 1864 and the churches ‘’Vlaherna’’ and ‘St.Andrew’’.
Top landmarks in Saint Vlas are the Nature reserve Kamchia and Emine cape which are located in close proximity to Saint Vlas. The nature reserve Kamchia includes the downstream of the river Kamchia where thick forests were created.
The village Zheravna is located in a beautiful mountainous region to the western of Saint Vlas. Zheravna is a Bulgarian architectural reserve with more than 200 wooden houses from the period of the Bulgaria Revival. Most of them are over 300 years old.
