Svoge develops alternative tourism

The development of the tourism is a part of the project, which aims to turn Svoge Municipality /Sofia area/ into a modern European municipality.
Svoge will evolve alternative tourism-cultural, hunting, eco tourism through the accomplishment of qualitative tourist product and its intensive promotion.
The project for the development of tourism foresees the construction of suitable infrastructure and improvement of the condition of the cultural monuments. Restoration works are also planned, particularly in the monastery the Seven Thrones and St. Petka.
Some of the steps which need to be taken are related to the improvement of the eco tourism centers in Svoge and the village of Lakatnik. Eco paths and tourist routes will be constructed there, as well as restoration of the Vazova eco path and the traditional tourist route Kom-Emine.
The project also includes the creation of tourist information center in the village Batuliya, center for art crafts in the village Lakatnik, construction of cycle alleys and pedestrian paths.
