The first international cruise ship for 2008 landed at Svishtov port

Anita Valentinova, expert.bg, 25.03.2008

The first international cruise ship for 2008 has landed today at the port of Svishtov.

160 British tourists visited Svishtov as a part of the tour program of the cruiser ship "Johan Straus" at 7.30 AM this morning. The route of the ship starts from Passau (Germany) and passes through Vienna, Bratislava, Budapest, Svishtov and Rousse. The cruise finishes with a tour to Danube’s delta.

International port Svishtov registered more than 19 000 visits for 2007. In comparison to 2006, the passengers were just 5 000 people. International cruise ships which have landed at Svishtov port for the period are 95. It is expected that their number will increase significantly during the year.
