Day of the Open doors is held on 20th of August 2010 at one of the most interesting landmarks on the Black sea –the lighthouse in Shabla. All attendants are requested to carry their identity proof documents. The initiative is started on the occasion of International year of the sea lighthouses. The lighthouse in Shabla is the oldest lighthouse at Bulgaria’s Black Sea. It was opened on 15th of July 1857. The lighthouse offers the tallest tower, rising at 32 m over the surrounding area and is painted in two colours-dark red and white.
