Uzana develops as a wellness resort

Uzana ski centre has the potential to develop wellness tourism opportunities in the region. There are several small ski slopes for beginners in Uzana ski centre, as well as a 1 km long ski slope for intermediate skiers , all serviced by drag lifts. Uzana is considered to be the geographical centre of Bulgaria.
Uzana is preferred by Bulgarian holidaymakers due to the beautiful virgin nature and various eco tourism opportunities. The mayor of Gabrovo pointed out that holidaymakers need eco tourism in winter season as well, also wellness and Spa tourism opportunities. Mr. Sirakov said that people want a peaceful atmosphere instead of noisy parties.
