The most times I slept in Sofia, I've been to the Hotel Serdika, near the Aleksander Nevski Cathedral and the center, but really cheap!

Serdika Horel
There are many Hotels in Sofia, and for Bulgarian standarts they are pretty expensive. I stayed at Hotel Serdica, a very basic hotel with nothing more than a bed, but it was the cheapest around that time, and all the other times I stayed at friends place, so that was better. Got to know real Bulgarians, and got to love them all :)
