the first thing that appealed to me was the overall cleanliness of the hotel which continued throughout the rest of the holiday,the staff were always willing to help and spoke enough english to understand.i advise to only book bed and breakfast as once you get to the many bars that are only a short distance away the food is varied and cheap.

nickie july 2008,During my family 2 weeks stay at smolian hotel my 2 children was left traumatised on the 3rd night of our stay there .We heard some strange noises afew minutes later the ceiling above me and my husband fell down on us it was 4.oo in the morning ,all the staff did was move us to another room that was atwin room not afamily room .we were told thet they had nothing else available ,i had bruises to my stomach and back and the doctor had to take alook at my wrist it was in bandage for 2 days i wasn,t allowaed to use it for ten more days.The next day the room was replastered and they put us back in there myself and the children was scared to sleep in there but they never offered to move us to another hotel or anything.the manager didn,t seem bothered and just wants us to keep quiet and do nothing about it we have photoe,s of the room and injuriesthe shower was freezing cold every night ,ihad to take the children to my parents room every night.Iwouldn,t advise anyone to stay there as the hotel floors have cracks on inside and outside were the building is subsiding.The breakfast was the same every day it was appauling.

during my families 2 week stay in smolianhotel it was awful .on the 3rd night of our stay there myself and my husband was asleep in bed and the ceiling fell down on us above the beds .my wrist was in bandged for 2 days and i was bruised on my back and stomach my children was frightend to sleep at night as they only moved us out of room for one night to replaster the ceiling .they told us they had no other rooms available.the shower was freezing cold every night .had to shower my children in my parents room every night .it was like party time in little bar area most nights for the young staff .wouldn,t advise anyone to stay there as it looks like the building is subsiding there is big cracks from top to bottom of the hotel .ruined our holiday .the only nice thing there was the beech.not a family resort.

No security in this hotel, and gangs of drunken Norwegens throwing glasses/furniture/themselves in the pool around 3-5 am most mornings. The night staff were too young to cope and just let these gangs do what they wanted to do.
