Centrally located boutique hotel. Very clean. We were in room 402 which had a charming balcony and a magnificent view over the Cathedral, which is simply magical at night. The room had a very useful dressing area, and a very clean bathroom. The only downside was that the air conditioning was not fully functioning and it took the hotel over an hour to finally admit they had been experiencing problems throughout the hotel. There are rooms designated non smoking but as we discovered this is obviously not rigorously enforced as our room had definitely been occupied by smokers. Breakfast is not brilliant - just so-so.

My wife and I have just returned from Varna, Bulgaria, where we stayed at this Splendid hotel. Although they promised to put us in an apartment, they gave us a junior suite. But it was ok, nice room, big, very clean, well maintained.
Staff was very friendly, only the receptionist understood English. But they were nice and accommodating.
Food was ok.

have stayed at this hotel several times the past few years - and every stay has been a good one.
This hotel is VERY clean and comfortable (one of the very few hotels in this world where I dare to walk barefoot on the carpet).
Only downsides are that the elevator is very small, and that breakfast is OK, but not spectacular.
