Balchik Castle to have digital catalogue

The famous landmark “The Castle” in the coastal town of Balchik will have a new digital catalogue which will include about 1000 architectural and historic landmarks, announced the director of the National Cultural Institute.
According to his words, the work on the project has been prepared for one year and it will have been ready by the end of January.
Architects and landscape experts took photos and described in detail all buildings, gardens, staircases and alleys in the complex. The catalogue also represents the royal villas, as well as the castle gardens and other buildings, designed by Italian architects.
The archive will preserve the authentic condition of the numerous fountains, richly ornamented with marble medallions, also the labyrinth of channels and water mirrors, as well as the breathtaking waterfalls and statues.
Restoration experts will use the catalogue after its completion. It will be presented abroad and paper issue will be printed as well.
