The first snow of winter season 2009/2010 is falling

We reckon that those of you who are not so keen on sun-bathing all day long in the summer will love it skiing in the winter. We have good news for you, snowhounds, advanced skiers, snowboarders, the first snow in Bulgaria has already arrived.
You may not believe, but it is absolutely true, season's first snow falling at the oldest Bulgarian resort-Borovets. The weather in Bulgaria has been chilly and cloudy over the past few days, and, subsequently, the first powder snow arrived at Borovets slopes.
An unusually early season snow has begun to fall across parts of Bulgarian mountains and this may cause an earlier start of the ski season 2009/2010. Snow showers started to fall Friday afternoon /30th of October/ and Saturday Borovets ski resort welcomed the first snow cover. It is predicted that the cold spell will continue during the next couple of days. Hence, it will continue snowing in the mountains. The wind will be moderate to strong from north, north-east. The temperature tends to far below 0 Celsius.
All Bulgarian mountains have received their first few cm of snow cover. Most peaks are white-capped and we can announce that the winter is here, so the ski season 2009/2010 is knocking on the door . Moreover, the weather is getting even colder and our expectations are that in the mid-November or at least at its end there will be enough snow to commence the new winter season 2009/2010 in Bulgaria!
