Prices for winter holidays will be increased by 2%

Winter holidays will be more expensive as prices are expected to increase by 2% for the upcoming winter season. This was forecasted by the deputy Mr.George Ikonomov. The reason for higher prices is the newly introduced Value Added Tax of 9%. The new VAT will become effective as of 1st of April 2011. This will raise the cost of all services and the result might be the worsening of the competitiveness of Bulgarian tourism.
