Bulgaria is ranked in top 5 of the best ski holiday destinations for winter season 2010/2011. The popular search engine Yahoo has officially announced the figures and it has ranked Bulgaria in the 5th place.
According to the guide in Yahoo, European tourists consider the country as a cheap and excellent ski destination especially after Bulgaria joined EU in 2007. Tourists are particularly attracted by Bulgaria due to the divine nature and the wealth of cultural landmarks.
Yahoo also commented that the summer tourism generates about 70% of the total revenue in the sector as many foreign tourists choose Bulgaria for their beach vacation. Surprisingly, the ski tourism generates only 10% of the tourism revenue. This is the reason why Yahoo highly recommends that winter sports fans should visit Bulgaria. Furthermore, Yahoo points out that this fascinating and unique country should be explored before it becomes world-famous ski destination.
According the ranking, this year’s best winter destination is Philadelphia. Morocco is placed second, 3rd place occupies Italy, followed by the sunny US state California.
