Bulgarian ski lifts are free of charge for foreign tourists

Anita Valentinova, source:okolosveta.com, 14.11.2008

1000 tourists from England, Ireland and Russia who will be coming for the first time in Bulgaria from January to March 2009 will receive one week cards for the ski equipment in Bulgarian ski resorts. This refers to customers of Bulgarian and foreign tour operators who do charter flights from the most important tourist markets for Bulgarian winter tourism.

This is a new advertisement campaign of Bulgaria National Tourist Agency, which was represented by its Chairman Anelia Krushkova during the world tourist market in London. The campaign is common initiative of the Agency and the private business sector and it will rely on promotions, lotteries and attractive prizes. 1000 cards more can be won by foreign and Bulgarian tourists. This campaign will be repeated also for Bulgarian summer 2009. Anelia Krushova expressed certainty that the next year will be successful for Bulgarian tourism, because the country offers a wide range of tourist products and services in golden ratio between quality and prices. According to statistical data to September 2008, Bulgarian tourism has a growth of 18,2% in comparison to the last year and it is predicted that general economic trend of having a steady growth will be preserved also in 2009.

British journalists were interested in what Bulgarian Agency would do to promote picturesque towns in South Black Sea coast and to prevent them from beginning to look like the big, famous, but noisy resorts. Krushova pointed out the fact that Bulgaria offers different products for a variety of customers. It is important to make the necessary distinction, because Bulgarian Black seaside is not represented only with big its well-known big resorts, but also luxurious holiday complexes and towns, giving romantic atmosphere. The responsible mission of National Tourism Agency is to help this diversity to be preserved so that everyone can find his own “piece” of Bulgaria.
