The first edition of Bulgarian National Fair “Green Dot” will be held from 30th of June 2010 until 4th of July 2010 in the village of Oreshak near the town of Troyan, situated in the Balkan Mountains. The fair will take place in Oreshak National Exhibition Centre for Arts and Crafts. The Exhibition Centre covers 9 exhibition halls with a total area of 4200m2, a conference room which accommodates up to 200 people, a coffee-bar and lobby. The ”Green Dot” Fair will present alternative forms of tourism and activities such as: ecotourism, adventure and extreme sports, religious tourism, rural tourism, cultural tourism, wine tours, tourism possibilities related to Bulgaria’s traditional cuisine, ethnography and traditional music, handicrafts, eco technologies and bio products and other techniques that ensure sustainable and responsible tourism. The event is organized by Prim Expo and supported by Troyan Municipality, Bulgarian Hotel and Restaurant Association (BHRA), Bulgarian Association for Alternative Tourism (BAAT). The main goal of the event is the future development of alternative forms of tourism locally in order to preserve Bulgaria's natural and cultural heritage.
