Half a million German tourists spent their vacation in Bulgaria

Despite the global financial crisis, the interest of German tourists in Bulgaria remains slightly changed this year as nearly half a million German citizens visited the country. This was announced by the ambassador of Germany Matias Hopfner during his visit in Varna. The diplomat remarked, however, that the number of German tourists spending their vacation in Bulgaria has dropped by 7 -10% in comparison with the last year. He also expressed his interest in the development of yacht toruism at the Northern Black Sea coast and respectively the construction of yacht harbors. The diplomat pointed out that he is trying to figure out which are the best ways to strengthen the economic relationships between the two countries. German companies are likely to be interested in machinery and ship construction.
