Borovets opens winter season 2010/2011 on the World Snowboard Day

We cannot wait anymore, because the great snow outside provokes us to hit the slopes at the earliest. There are only a couple of days until the official opening of the winter season 2010/2011 in Borovets. We should expect a wonderful snow party on 18th of December 2010. If you do not have any arrangements for the day, I strongly recommend you to join us, because the event promises to be extremely amusing. The organizers from Borosport and Concept Creative have prepared interesting surprises and gifts for all attendants in order to entertain all guests.

This year Borovets expects substantial snowfalls, but even if the weather is not so favourable, the brand new artificial snow making system in Borovets will take care of the excellent ski cover. As you might have read, currently the weather in Bulgaria is pretty chilly and we have seen many snow showers so far, so our powder snow holiday is guaranteed. All fans of freestyle disciplines will enjoy the two big jumps in the front of Rila Hotel. If you wish to seize the opportunity to demonstrate your skills, you can do it so at the big air balloon. Please, note that you should put your helmet if you wish to give it a try.

All little guests will enjoy the special area for sledging. The sponsor of the event is Olympus. Their team has prepared some gifts for the most attractive sledging and impressive photos. Scott Bulgaria also supports the initiative and they have prepared some new models sleighs for all guests who wish to raise their adrenaline at the specific trace. Perhaps it’s not a pure coincidence that the opening of the winter season in Borovets is on the World Snowboard Day. All fans of freestyle disciplines will be able to celebrate the special event in a special separate area which will be constructed with the support of BEFSA.

Borovets has prepared some special surprises for all enthusiasts and therefore prices of ski lift passes will be dropped by 50%. Moreover, night skiing on 18th of December 2010 will be free of charge. As we have already informed you, ski lift passes will maintain last year’s levels and they will not be further increased. Kids will enjoy themselves the snow park ‘Borokids’ whilst their parents get acquainted with the new facilities in the oldest ski resort in Bulgaria.
