“Although we had difficulties in providing the necessary equipment, we are going to do what we have promised to do on the project for taking out the ancient Thracian city Sevtopolis from waters of the dam Koprinka. We are ready; all we need is appropriate conditions for it. Photos will be made on the depth of 15-18m underwater. The ancient city is situated in this depth”, announced the President of the club Sevt III, Mr. Radulov. Mr. Radulov set his face against the rumours that the project won’t be fulfilled, since underwater Koprinka has only insignificant ruins. There is one Thracian mount underwater, located at the depth of 50m. It hasn’t been discovered yet, but its existence was discussed. It is planned to be constructed inside dam wall, by which the water can be released one side and it will be possible either by staircase or special lifts to reach Sevtopolis. An important museum exposition will be situated within the frames of the inside wall. According to the architect Mr.Tilev, the project may become the image of Bulgarian culture. A submarine from Varna is expected in order to take qualitative photos. Its captain has attended the place for the future actions and confirmed that the use of a submarine is not a problem. It is believed that the cradle of European civilization is in Stara Zagora district. This is the main reason for taking underwater photos of Sevtopolis, extremely necessary for the fulfillment of the impressive project. See source hereRelated travel news - News from Kazanlak
