Hectic preparation in Bansko for World Ski Cup Races 2011

Bansko is getting ready for hosting the starts of World Ski Cup 2011 which will take place in February. Even though there is more than a month until the beginning of the important ski event, organizers actively prepare the ski area. The mayor of Bansko, Alexander Kravarov, said that every tiny detail must be flawless in order for Bansko to present itself brilliantly. All tickets can be purchased from 1st of February 2011 onwards. One can buy a ticket at the counters which will be especially placed in Strazhite Hotel, as well as the base station of the cabin lift.

The enthusiast should pay 17 EUR per day and the combined 2-day ticket will be priced at 27 EUR. The price for kids and students will be 10 EUR per day and 15 EUR for two days as the possessor of the ticket should be accompanied by an adult. The price includes the shuttle from Bansko to the respective point at Bunderitsa ski run. 15 extra police officers will take care of the safety onsite and two Greek colleagues will also help them. Bansko municipality is due to launch a new brochure that focuses on the races in particular. Every guest will find useful information about the parking lots, transport to Bunderishka Poliana, the myriad of cultural events, emergency telephone numbers, Mountain Rescue Service, as well as the organizational committee of FIS Men Alpine Skiing World Cup 2011.
