Parts of our stay at WRC were fantastic. The suite was ample, clean and well furnished. We didn't sample too much of the food menu, but what we did try was delicious. The suite prices are impossible to beat at this quality.

Other aspects can be improved.

The parking lot was too small. What's worse, once you drive in and notice it is full, there is no place to turn around, so you need to maneuver in reverse. To actually park the car, you need to haggle with the attendant in the parking lot in front of WRC -- a skill we perfected here in the Balkans.

The Zumba class early on Sunday morning was unbearably loud. We have a kid so we get up ridiculously early these days, but we remember the days when we used to sleep very late. That would have been impossible.

One night we requested an upgrade starting the next day. The night manager said she had written it down on our reservation. The next morning, the day manager had no idea what I was talking about (luckily the upgrade was still available).

The standard double room is tiny. Do not try to fit a baby cot in there. The suites are much, much better.

The hotel is quite far from the beack, 1.5 - 2 km (depending where on the beach you want to go). This is because the street right in front of the hotel is actually not open (it goes through the botanical garden / palace gardens). We had to take the car and I had to stay sober (oh, the horror!).

We did not use any of the entertainment. We also did not use a booking agent - we used the WRC website.

The room waz very nice, big room with very nice furniture.
Every thing related comfort was good, except the cleaning during our stay.
The floor was dirty all days, balcony waa very very dirty and never has been cleaned, even we ve announce.

I must say that we were accomodated at this hotel in 2016 as well and apart from the low varierty present at the breakfast table, we had no other comments.
In 2017, the situation with the breakfast was the same, but it was not very important to us. However, on our last morning the breakfast table was full of ants and I did point this out to the waiter but nothing happened.

In addition, in our room, there was a boiler with so little water that we would always finish our showers with cold water. Apart from this issue, the supposed "hot water" was only lukewarm.

The staff at the hotel, apart from the people at the reception desk, doesn't speak English. At 10 p.m. on our first night, when we tried to take a shower, there was no warm water at all. We phoned the reception desk but there was no one there who spoke English. The gentleman who answered offered us the options between Bulgarian, Russian and Polish, which we dont speak.

Another disapointment compared to 2017 was our experience at the hotel spa. We went there at 11 am and we paid for a maximum of 4 hours. After 3 hours, at 2 pm, we were asked to leave because the spa would close early as there were very little people. We didn't comment on this in any way and left, but we were still charged fully for the time spent at spa, althourgh we were asked to leave early.

I am really disapointed in our experience in 2017 as it doesn't compare to the lovely time we spent there in 2016. I hope this feedback helps!

We had a standard room quite small in size with poor view do not recommend for a longer stay.
Keycard lock did not work properly the second day. Cabin shower needs an inside shelf for the toiletries.

The hotel is very close to the castle and gardens. Rooms are decent size and provide all that we needed, the beds are very comfortable. Hotel provides free underground parking spaces for guests and free wifi in rooms and all hotel areas. Cleaning was fair (stain on the curtain and some dust but only minor issues). Breakfast was good. The outdoor pool is not heated so cannot be used outside summer season.
Overall good value for the money.
Definitely recommend for staying.

An excellent and quiet hotel and good facilities. We have a studio with kitchen. Very welcome the glasses, and plates and the pot for boiling water.
The breakfast was not so overwhelmed like in all inclusive hotels, but various.
In a sentence: a hotel where we will come back with pleasure and already recommended to friends :-)!

Unfortunately the last night we parked the car in the garage, near the stair acces (in front of the red equipment) and a corrosive liquid flowed from the ceiling and melted the car's paintwork . Unfortunately I did not saw and the next day we left without telling the staff what happened.. and now we need to pay few hundreds euro to repaint the car ceiling..

We stayed 1 night at the hotel in a junior suit - rooms are exactly how they are presented online. The pool is very clean and there are plenty sun chairs on the sun deck. Breakfast acceptable. Staff friendly. I recommend the hotel overall

The hotel still looks great, overall.
Compared to last year, when the spa was free (only the massages were taxed), this year we found out that there is a tax of 10 leva/pers (this is not mentioned on the web site), but ok, we still wanted to go (the whole group-10 pers). When we announced it, saturday, after lunch, we were told that it is fully booked for a private event. I was shocked because I previously asked about the spa and no one told me about this "booking". I didn't thought it is possible to close the spa acces to your guests...anyway, I can see on your site that the outdoor pool is heated, but during our stay the pool was empty of water. So as for the entertainment there was not much to do...
I highly apreciated the two cakes made for the special occasion on friday night, they were excellent, especially the Black Sea Cake, but the food we ordered that night at the restaurant was average (and there were very few options on the menu).
Also in my room (no. 212) the bed sheet was stained (there were 2 large staines that looked a bit like rust).
Although I became attached to your beautiful hotel, if this things will not solve for the next year, I will think twice before booking.

We stayed for 5 nights in a Junior Suite at the White Rock Castle and everything was excellent! Very good value for money, friendly staff, squeaky clean and comfortable. A good coffee for breakfast is the only thing I would like to suggest as improvement. A 4-star hotel should definitely have a top espresso in the morning and not an instant coffee from a machine!

We booked the hotel for a week to get some serious work done. So we booked the 2 bedroom suite which had fantastically large bedrooms as well as a large livingroom and kitchenette.
The staff was incredibly helpful and everything in the hotel was clean and seemed like new.
I would recommend this to anyone who wants to stay in Balchik
