This is the 3rd time we have stopped at the Spa Emerald, and whilst they no longer provide the all inclusive, we were very happy with the service.
The location is fantastic and the adjoining Morris Bar wuth Rosie and staff is also great value for money and very friendly.
Great for couples, groups and families.

Negatives:
- defect on balcony door and heater not functioning in the bedroom, so cold inside (306)

Was a perfect stay. Hotel provided everything we needed.

Close to the ski gondola, friendly staff. Average dinner, some days was below average.
The local wine offered could be better. The happy hour at the lobby is good, but the internet, even in the lobby is not free (we have been lucky that it was free some of the days, as the hotel had special guests. If you have booked using bookings.comm, you can get a internet voucher to login.

Good hotel location and great prices. Not a 4 star. Sometimes we had to ask for toilet paper as it wasn't provided daily. Cleaning of rooms is poor. Friendly Receptionist. Food was good, but not great but there are other pubs where you can truly satisfy your apetite. It's very central and despite all the above I would go there again. These are easily improved . The spa is great most especially when you re on the slopes everyday, however it needs some major refurbishment. The pool room was full of mould and the whirlpool bath tiles were cracking, you could feel pieces of broken tiles in the water.

This stay in the hotel was third stay in row. The hotel rooms needs to be cleaner, renew. Also the hotel parking is too expensive 6 eur/day.

I want to thank to all staff, specially to the waiter Dobre at the lobby bar.
Overall, if I choose a hotel for the next year will choose the same hotel.

Hotel looks like there was no interior decorater and somebody was buying staf at some old and cheap market. Also there is no central heating and we were afraid to leave elektric heaters on while we were out. Food was good, deserts should be better but the rest was tasty and there was enough choises for each meal. Spa cener is ok, there was everythin you need. There is no internet at all unless you pay for it, not even in the loby. Good thing was that we didn't have to park our car at their parking, we just found place at the street in front of the hotel and everything was fine. Hotel is realy close to gondola and center and that is great. Also there is a bar at hotel with great prices and free wifi. Overall it was good value for money.

This was our third visit to the Emerald Spa in three years [for a skiing holiday]. For us the location combined with the price makes it our first choice for accommodation every time. The 5 minute walk from hotel to Gondola meant we had the best chance of trying to avoid the huge queues which build up very quickly. Although we had half board, we did eat out on many occasions as we like to experience the local restaurants as well [the quote for just B & B showed very little difference in price]. The Emerald meals offer a varied selection of foods: the salads each day were especially good. Fresh fruit was available at breakfast and dinner. The Morris bar at the front of the hotel [but not part of the hotel]is a good place to have a drink at the end of an evening: the staff will give you a warm welcome. The half board package with drinks available throughout the day is a welcome touch, which many residents availed themselves of each evening. The seating area near reception, combined with the large TV screens, meant we were able to watch the tennis final in comfort with coffee, beer and wine to hand! This is not a fancy hotel but it suits our needs. When we checked the prices of nearby hotels [ location to the Gondola],the prices were well above those of the Emerald Spa.

Locatie excelenta (100m)de gondola.
Camere foarte mari, curate, calduroase.
Probleme cu presiunea la apa (etj.4)
Mancarea foarte proasta, dimineata nu se putea manca decat oua si rosii, restul de mezeluri cred ca erau cele mai ieftine si proaste de pe piata lor, inclusiv branza si cascavalul.
Parcarea se plateste (6 EUR/ZI)
Internet 35 Leva/sejur - Atentie... daca doriti internet este bine sa achizitionati de cum ajungeti deoarece internetul este pentru 7 zile, asa ca daca va hotarati dupa 3 zile tot atat costa.
Bautura in regim demipensiune a fost inclusa si se poate servii intre orele 10 - 23, doar bauturi locale care lasa de dorit, restul contra cost... ex. 3 leva o Cola 250ml.
La partea de SPA nu stiu decat ca piscina avea o apa indoielnica si spun asta deoarece acasa ma ocup de intretinerea propriei piscine si stiu cum trebuie sa arate o apa in parametrii optimi.
Una peste alta, cu 2-3 drumuri la Carefor care este in apropierea hotelului (300-400m), am facut o mica aprovizionare si totul a fost OK.
Total cheltuieli:
384 EUR cazare HB 7 nopti (2 adulti + 1 copil 7 ani)
42 EUR parcare
17 EUR internet
65 EUR Carefour (mancare, sucuri, bautura, pentru 2 adulti + 1 copil
Restul de cheltuieli, skipass, transport, etc. tine de dorintele fiecaruia.

I stayed in the hotel while on a skiing trip with 7 other friends. I found the hotel food excellent, the rooms clean and tidy, the staff were friendly and the location to the gondolas was perfect. However, upon checking out we were told that there was 3 towels missing from our room and that we would have to pay for them. We noticed on our second last day that 2 dirty towels were not replaced in our room but we had 2 more clean towels so said nothing. Next morning 1 more towel had gone missing and not replaced when we came back from our skiing. The manager told us he was not accusing us of stealing the towels but we would still have to pay for them as they were missing. We told him what would we want with towels and he was free to check our bags. He said we would have to pay 75 lev for the 3 towels which is about 40 euro approx. We told him there was no way we were paying and that it was a scam that was going on with the chambermaids. One of the guys with us had the same experience at xmas and he was told the same story. He refused to pay also. We contacted our rep and he told the manager to forward the bill to the tour operator. We also contacted our tour operator and they also said that they have heard about this happening to other people before.
