The nature park Golden Sands is considered to be a protected area. It has been a reserve since 1943. The total area of the park is 9.2km. According to IUCN, the park falls into fifth category of protected areas. The forests of the park follow the coastline and embrace the resort Golden Sands. One of the main attractions of Bulgaria’s Golden Sands is a venerable sycamore. It is 200m high tree which impresses every visitor of the nature park.
