The hotel is basic compared to the standards of hotels in uk but this is Bulgaria., it is however very clean and tidy. we satyed in main part of hotel room 431, the reception staff were very chatty and friendly and spoke very good english. however most of the other staff spoke very little or no english. and you could say they were rude but this is typical of bulgarians in our experience. however it didnt detract from our enjoyment of our stay. They are afterall very poor compared to most of us so i probably wouldnt be too overjoyed to having to be waiting on holiday makers and certainatly wouldnt be smiling like a chesire cat !!!
food
plenty of choice at all meals. fresh and tasty. try it! two restaurants for meals and loads of tables to sit at outside by the pools.
breakfast - cereals, continental hams and cheses, cooked (square bits of bacon, beans, eggs, hot dog sausages, pancakes, cakes, fruit ,toast(lots of different breads). tip( toast bread 3 times in toaster rack,) you will see when u get there!!!!!!!!. large choice of juices, tea , coffee.
lunch- meat, fish, pasta , salads, spuds, veg, soups, rice dishes, plenty of choice as with the evening meal. certainatly didnt find the food cold and didnt suffer any stomach upsets. buter is in litle packs as in uk but is in bowl of ice. cant see why others would have moaned about that.
snack bar ar side of hotel, did yummy pizzas, hot dogs toasted baps.
pool bar loads of choice shame its not in the pool.
the pool was gorgoeus loads of sun beds with comfy cushions, medium sized pool, kids pool, kids water slide. water was clean, no glass in pools, no rubbish, they tested it regularly. no complaints. had many a dip as the weather was really hot whilst we were there. old life guard was friendly.
we did a few excursions.
nessebar lovely harbour town, jewellry shops . we had a boat ride back cost 15 lev which is about £7.50. took a good 40 mins hold on tight.
sunny beach
beach is lovely expect to pay for parasol and sun bed , views amazing, water clean, beach long and sandy.
shops loads mostly gipsy shacks avoid these they sell fake designer that will break when you get it home, go to flower street. better shops, loads of pubs, bars, restaurants, clubs, go go bars, sex shops. mac donalds, kfc, try as many cocktails as you can happy hour lasts ages !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
try the 4d cinema. its fab!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
money- lev
expect to pay to use tiolets in towns , villages price varies but 25p is about right.
food isnt dirt cheap but shop around theres loads of restaurants etc.

We were really impressed when we arrived in the middle of the night, the manageress said to go look at the pool whilst we waited for the porter to take us to our room. It was very impressive. Then we got up in the morning. The rooms are tourist class and the hotel is very large on such a small plot so you are all squashed into the small pool area. The food wasn't upto much, but I am very choosy and my husband said it wasn't too bad. It was absolutly full of drunken parents and kids running amock. It is ideally placed away from the head banging centre of Sunny beach.

my husband, daughter, nephew, mother and myself stayed at the laguna park sunny beach in july. On checking in a porter took our cases to our room and we were really pleased. All of us were within one room, but it was split level with two balconys, two bathrooms, great space for 5 people and so on. The hotel was spotless and as much as people talk about the staff, they were all fab and oftered assistance when required. Food was not rubbish at all! I ate 3 courses every lunchtime and night! It is true that there is alot of veal, but it was lovely - any person that slated the food should really have tried it! I did have kids with me and the entertainment was great. My nephew feel in love with didi (hi there if your reading this! lol). They have a kids disco every night and my family loved this, so much so I had to buy the CD - they have played it none stop since we got back! It is true that you need to put towels down early, but that was fine as I roped my husband into doing that! lol The maid every day cleaned and left fresh towels, even folding our pj's! My only fault is the cost of keeping on the room - it is expensive, but as there was so many of us it was worth it. The rep said they are looking into this so anyone travelling soon may not have to pay either £50 or £100 - depending on how long you kept it for.

Great Hotel, for the price you pay. Rooms are all very clean, the staff are polite but could smile a bit more and the All-Inclusive option is generous enough considering the package price of the holiday.
The hotel has the ideal position in the resort; only a couple of minutes to the beach and to the shops, restaurants and nightlife but just tucked away enough to not be too noisy or busy.
For nightlife I would recommend going to "Flower Street", there are most of the discos and bars (Slam Cafe is very cool and Den Gladne Viking is great fun in a cheesy Scandinavian way).
For trips I would recommend the TopPrice travel shop, opposite Hotel Kalina Garden, we booked the Khan's tent and Yacht Cruise for 59lv each (much less than in the hotel), the staff are English as well which makes things easier!
