please help!

we are staying in pamporovo for a week and want to do ski trail 8 and 9 (the blue runs to the lakes) but it appears the chairlift is not working to bring us back? but on the website it says all lifts open? on the electronic boards around the resort it says lift closed but opening shortly, but lift have been shut for at least 3 days now....

please help, if we do trail 9 , can we get back up?

thanks

I'm coming to Pamporovo on 8th January. Is it true that all ski runs are open?!!

Terry - United Kingdom, 23.02.2011 22:30

Was in Pamporova from 12th-19th Feb, had a fab time! Enough snow but I gather there's even more now! Really enjoyed the resort and thought the ski school was great - but book it before you go, we didn't and paid more there! Its £231 for the whole package when you get there inc 4 hours tuition, skis, lift pass etc

Graham - United Kingdom, 05.02.2011 09:45

Hi, we fly out on the 12th and have two questions as Pamporovo virgins...

1. Should we book ski, boot and pass packages before we go or arrange when we arrive? (as we always have elsewhere and got a better local deal)

2. The snow reports don't look good. Are they so not good that everyone will be trying to ski on a 1/3 of the resort, turning it into an ice, queues and chaos resort!

Any advice greatly appreciated. Cheers. Graham

Danio Huntos - Bulgaria, 05.02.2011 09:22

We're leaving today, was on the slopes all day yesterday, the snow is barely holding up, getting very icy now, some of the red runs that are open are extremely difficult because of the ice, if you're a beginner you will find it hard to learn and also it hurts more when you fall off, we've been here a week and probably seen one cloud in the sky! Its also alot warmer now, and the forecast says no snow for at least 9 days, not good, but we all know forecasts can change in a matter of hours! Make sure your ski tutors speak english before your lesson starts! Ours didn't and was a complete waste of money and most of the time listened to their iPods! Not to impressed with Pamps, would rather spend the extra money for somewhere with more than about 5 runs open! The Ski-schools are not as good as people say they are either, Austria and Andorra are far superior and actually have ENGLISH instructors!!

Benny Boy - United Kingdom, 03.02.2011 18:40

Starrzman - I am with you bro! I am heading out there on the 12th Feb for a week. NO SNOW up until the 8th but praying that the season follows suit and delivers the same Feb snow as the last five years - Feb has always been the best month for the Pamp season.....my prediction: blizzards and white-outs from the 9th - 12th, followed by 6 days of sunshine and 6 nights of snowfall!

See you out there!

What is happening in Pamporova ?
I have just viewed snow reports and weather for the next 7 days !!!!!!!!!
Holy Cow !!!!!!! No snow, stupidly warm weather, nearly all of the runs are closes and I'm due to fly out on Saturday !!!!!
Looks like a waste of £900!!!!!!!!!!
Does anyone know different ?
Hell I sincerely hope I'm incorrect.

alan f liverpool - United Kingdom, 02.02.2011 13:18

does'nt sound to good for the snow conditions with the tree roots coming through and no snow expected next week can anyone tell me what are the snow conditions like to the runs that are open coming to pamporovo on the 13th feb hope we get some more snow before then cheers Alan

mick - Ireland, 31.01.2011 00:49

good skiing at the moment just back. they need more snow though.

Danio HUntos - Bulgaria, 30.01.2011 19:58

Here at Pamps at the mo, still a fair bit of snow around but there are some large icy patches on the runs, runs are closed mainly due to roots, trees etc still slightly poking thru the snow. Lovely weather tho, not a cloud in the sky today but still below freezing, about -7 when up the top of the mountain today. More snow would be good as by the end of the week it will just be ice!!

alanf liverpool - United Kingdom, 27.01.2011 14:10

still not many runs open even with the new snow falls can you tell me how much snow do they have cheers alan

Dominique - Romania, 22.01.2011 13:52

Great to read that forecast.
Can you please ask to clean the webcam on the top of the slopes !!!!
Thanks

Lambert - Netherlands, 22.01.2011 10:54

Snowforcast is superb at this moment, 14 day forcast shows very low temperatures and loads of fresh snow.

Dan - United Kingdom, 19.01.2011 21:57

The snow pamporovo is ok at the mo. i was there a week ago, after the second day me and my mates pretty much stayed away from the main green slope!it was way to busy and quite icy at times! i would suggest going "off piste" technically not off piste but there is one red run and two black runs that are closed, but have pretty good conditions. you can see these runs when you go up lift number 5. there is also a good blue run that can be icy at times! but still good fun to ride! and the wall isnt that hard, and probably has the best conditions of all the open slopes!

Dominique - Germany, 18.01.2011 17:32

Thinking to come in Pamporovo on the 5th of February for 1 week, we wish to know the ski condition there. Thanks in advance.

Please can any one tell me what the ski conditions are like at the moment. Are there many lifts open? I am going to Pamporovo on 15th Jan 2011 for a week. Thanks.

karl - United Kingdom, 27.12.2010 11:56

just got back from 7 days skiing in Pamporovo, first time in resort.
we had a full week on the slopes, however the conditions were poor with only 3 or 4 runs open for most of the week going down to 2 runs on xmas day, one being the wall.
i felt sorry for those arriving yesterday as we were leaving as there wasn't much snow around at all and the cannons weren't working as it was 6 degress during the night. would defo go again but in feb or march next time.
